Instead of worrying about all the things you shouldn’t be doing in your 30s, it’s time to focus on what you should be doing, or doing more of. You’ve just come through your 20s, a decade of figuring out who you are and finding your way – check out my other post on what advice I’d give to everyone in their 20s here.

- Spend money on travel. Even if it is just a small road trip up north.
- Go to more happy hours. With coworkers, friends, family or by yourself and make new friends.
- Really clean out your closet, and finally invest in a “grown up” wardrobe.
- Make working out a priority, even just walking.
- Call your parents. You never know how long they’re going to be around.
- Get your debt managed, or at least on track.
- Wear sunscreen. Everyday.
- Start contributing to your 401K (if you haven’t already).
- Sleep eight hours a night.
- Drink water. It only becomes more important the older you get.
- Set boundaries with your personal relationships — speak up when something bothers you.
- Learn how to cook for yourself so you stop spending money eating out.
- Keep a gratitude journal. Try to write something down every day.
- Find a healthy breakfast routine.
- Invest in something — go beyond just having a savings account.
- Never compare yourself to others, or their journey’s. We are all individuals for a reason.
- Love yourself unconditionally.
